The
Xena Foundation

Barriers to accessing appropriate physical activity are too difficult for BIPOC and economically disadvantaged people experiencing the poorest health and suffering the highest death rates. The challenges are compounded by disproportionately high levels of chronic disease in these communities. Physical activity and healthy diet are key recommendations of the CDC for fighting chronic diseases such as obesity, heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, depression, some cancers, and other chronic diseases.

The Xena Fitness Project will educate & empower people experiencing or at-risk for chronic disease with personalized individual support that improves health outcomes and leads to sustainable behavior changes.
