Founded in 2020, The Xena Foundation works as a nonprofit community health partner. We develop referral based partnerships with community medical centers, hospitals, and professionals to identify and serve patients diagnosed with chronic health conditions when physical exercise and improved diet are recommended by their physician as a key health intervention. As it’s core program, The Xena Fitness Project provides the most flexible & cost-effective programs to reach specific fitness goals. The mission of The Xena Foundation is to champion an equitable community; to uphold the rights of every person; and, to address the gaps and barriers precluding opportunities for at-risk communities. The Xena Foundation makes services accessible to people who are most at-risk and most in need.
The Xena Foundation & Xena Fitness & Training (XFT) seek a dynamic, self-starter to drive marketing and communications efforts for a start-up nonprofit and social enterprise. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing while working for a start-up nonprofit and social enterprise organization. Are you learning marketing or journalism and want to work for a non-profit? Maybe you are looking to change careers and want to get some experience. The Xena Foundation & XFT seek a creative self‐starter to assist The Xena Foundation & XFT with its communications efforts. You will be part of a small team that will work with your internship requirements/needs to help you get the most out of your experience.
